Macedon Ranges Equine Vets was established in 2005 and we have been servicing the equine community since.
We offer a variety of equine services including generalised equine work, stud and neonatal medicine, surgery, lameness, sports medicine and emergencies. We are available to see horses at our clinic and also travel to all areas of the Macedon Ranges and surrounds. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care to your Equine friend.

Dr. Olivia Greenwood
Practice Owner / Principal Veterinarian
Olivia qualified as a vet in Ireland in 1998. She spent a number of years working in Europe at Leige University, Belgium and Edinburgh University Scotland. She did an internship in equine studies and then a residency in Equine Reproduction. She then moved to Australia where she spent a season at Goulburn Valley Equine hospital. During this time, she met her husband Ivan who also works in the practice part time. Then two years in race track practice at Flemington during which time Olivia completed her membership exams in Equine Medicine through the “Australian College of Veterinary Scientists”. Back then to her passion of equine stud medicine at Werribee Vet School. She opened the business in 2004 and has enjoyed a wide variety of equine work ever since. Olivia enjoys trail riding and very low-level showjumping.
Amanda Kraft
Practice Manager
Amanda is our wonderful manager who has been with the practice since 2009. Prior to starting with us Amanda had a wealth of experience in the equine industry having spent over a decade in Tb stud work at both Yallambee Stud and Monterey Farm. Amanda has additional qualifications in semen collection and artificial insemination. Amanda runs the semen collection service and also freezes semen. Her knowledge and experience shine through with foaling mares, fostering foals and nursing sick foals. Amanda is also a keen equestrian having grown up through pony club and later adult riding. Her current horse is a quarter horse and she competes in Reining. She and her husband are animal fanatics and between them have quite the menagerie, horses, ponies, sheep, pet cows,dogs, cats and a pet snake. We are extremely lucky to have Amanda as one of our team.
